Position Summary
This strong hands-on leader in healthcare data analytics is critical to accelerate the progression from ‘data to insights.’ The Director of Business Intelligence will lead a team of analysts to develop sufficient smaller scale solutions and ad hoc projects within analytics to support all operational and clinical functions within the company. The solutions would serve as prototypes to implement intentionally designed robust full-scale data and analytics roadmaps.
Essential Functions
Conduct interviews and hiring direct reports. Complete a 90-day introductory and annual performance evaluation of each direct report. Facilitate professional growth and improve proficiency of staff who are direct and indirect reports through mentoring and training.
Conduct ongoing performance management of each direct report; establishes performance goals; and measures performance against goals.
Lead the optimization in the delivery of regulatory reports.
Support the implementation of new targeting solutions for care management integrated with the care management platform.
Support quality and HEDIS reporting.
Design and drive implementation of the data infrastructure for analytic function.
Lead the implementation of performance management reporting solutions, e.g. dashboards and exception reporting.
Support the documentation and data governance best practices in an efficient manner.
Support business partners in monitoring and managing the performance of the programs, interventions and initiatives.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Education and Experience
MS/PHD in a quantitative field with at least 7 years of experience in healthcare analytics.
Direct/indirect managerial experience.
Required Skills
Validation, transformation, and modeling of health care claims, enrollment, and operational data to improve decision making.
Using statistical analysis to identify patterns and correlations to provide actionable insights.
Development of key performance indicators, scorecards and dashboards using data visualization tools.
Communication and presentation skills and an ability to provide key updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Background in clinical analytics, industry tools and quality measurements.
Excellent coding skills utilizing SQL, Excel, Python and other statistical and data management software.
Strong work ethics and people skills.
