TAPE is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned Small Business (SDVO/WOSB) providing services to the Federal government.JOB SUMMARYTAPE is looking for a Business Development Director to provide business development and growth strategy in the areas of program and project management, enterprise IT solutions, and training support services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the defense sector. The BD Director will pro-actively develop and manage a dynamic, multi-year pipeline of opportunities in various stages of maturity. This position reports directly to the company president. The location for this role is the NOVA/DC/Aberdeen Maryland area. Other locations will be considered for the ideal candidate with the ability to travel frequently to NOVA/DC/Maryland as needed.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSBe conversant and have existing relationships within various Army programs and Training and Doctrine Command.Proven track record of winning revenue-producing Task Orders/Contracts at Department of Army in the last three years at more than one Contracting Center.Five (5) years' experience in successfully growing business for a small business, including both prime and subcontract revenue.Three (3) years' experience as a lead of a productive Business Development Team.Have a proven record of positioning a small business to win opportunities in the US Army/DoD (standard contracts and single-award task orders are priority experiences over Multi-Award Contracts or multi-prime IDIQ victories).Be results-driven, participating in complete lifecycle capture activities that result in the awards.Be Team Oriented. Be a Leader for a highly productive small BD team. Be highly accountable to senior management for capture progress.Highly effective interpersonal skills working with technical leaders and business executives, with DoD/Army/DHS customers, and with teammates and subcontractors.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or experience equivalency and ten (10) years or more of related experience.Five (5) years' experience shaping and winning technical opportunities at Army and/or DHS.US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance (active or prior TS clearance is highly desirable).PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
