Accountant I

CBIZ is assisting our esteemed client in the greater Philadelphia, PA area with their search for an Accountant I to join their growing finance division.
The Accountant I will support the month-end close including Balance Sheet and P&L reviews, journal entries, account reconciliations, support the timely and accurate input of A/P vendor invoices, advise up-line management regarding the practice management financial programs in their multi-site organization.
Responsibilities
Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, maintains cash clearing account reconciliations, etc.Leads the coordination and processing of A/P for all divisions within the organization.Supports monthly close Ensures accruals are appropriately made each month. Reviews G/L coding on invoices before checks are released to ensure accurate coding.Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detail.Reviews monthly reporting packages for all divisions for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.Assists in the annual budgeting process for all divisions.Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities.Maintains confidentiality of all information.
Position requires
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (with appropriate experience).Practice Management/Health Care related experience preferred.3+ years of progressive Accounting experience.Strong foundation in accounting required, but candidate must also demonstrate strong analytical skills.CPA and or MBA preferred, though not required.Work in-person a total of 4 days per week.Local travel to other offices for visits/meetings.
