Paladin Consulting is currently hiring a 2nd shift Data Center Technician to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Responsibilities :They will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data centerThe Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cablingThey will also need to know how to terminate copperThey will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs workExperience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferredWork on ladders 7-8 feet off the floorInstall servers that can weight up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams)They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the clientVery fast pace and busy data center environmentSkills & Qualifications :

Two years' working in a data center(If they have been leading a team for several years they would not be a fit as they need someone with boots on the ground)H.S DiplomaSystems/Software proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams)Looking for some tenure with experienceTop Must have Skills:

Teachability and positive attitude is a HIGHLY valued skillAble to work as a teamAdaptAttention to DetailTop Nice to have Skills:
