Job Title: Data Center TechLocation: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007Duration: 6+ months ContractPay rate: $29hr on W2Shifts: M-F 3pm -12pmDescriptionThey will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data centerThe Tech will need to install and
test fiber and copper cablingThey will also need to know how to terminate copperThey will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs workExperience using a
Fluke cable tester
would be highly preferredWork on ladders 7-8 feet off the floorInstall servers that can weigh up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams)They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client Very fast pace and busy data center environmentYears of Experience needed:Two years' working in a data center(If they have been leading a team for several years they would not be a fit as they need someone with boots on the ground)Education:H.S DiplomaSystems/Software proficienciesMicrosoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams)Must have Skills:Teachability and positive attitude is a HIGHLY valued skillWork independentlyAdaptAttention to DetailNice to HaveOutside accreditationsCustomer service experienceExperience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred
