SAIC is looking for a
Windows Systems Administrator
to perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers for the US Navy's Computer Network Defense team in
North Charleston, SC .
Job Description:Responsible for deploying Cyber Security mandated system upgrades, patches, and performing modifications to ensure Navy Computer Network Defense (CND) classified and unclassified systems are protected against known exploits.Testing of upgrades and patches to maintain Windows 11, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server 2016.Hardening Windows systems utilizing DISA STIGs.Performing auditing and log analysis of CND Systems.Travel: Anticipated travel is up to 10%, both CONUS and OCONUS.Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience; Master's degree and three (3) years of related experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Required skills:Experience in relevant technical field, to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment. Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C5ISR requirements.Minimum of 5 years' experience using Windows to include all activities such as active directory, installation, system integration, image development, patching, upgrades, complex problem resolution and other activities in large, complex environment.Have experience in designing and securing Windows systems, preferably in one or more ofWindows 11, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and/or Active Directory.Experience utilizing DISA STIGs to harden and secure Windows systems.Have design, testing and validation experience on DoD-deployed systems.Have a solid understanding of current operating system security design best practices.Be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.Be comfortable with the creation of in-depth, accurate technical documentation.Required Certification(s):Must have one of the following security certifications: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, OR GCIH.Required clearance:Active Secret Clearance and have eligibility for Top Secret.Desired skills:Knowledge of CND afloat systems is preferred.Knowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables is preferred.A Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD) is highly encouraged.
