Requirements
Minimum five (5) years of experience in relevant technical field, to include:
Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test - Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C5ISR requirements.Experience in designing and securing Windows systems, preferably in one or more of Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and/or Active DirectoryExperience utilizing DISA STIGs to harden and secure Windows systemsHave design, testing and validation experience on DoD-deployed systemsHave a solid understanding of current operating system security design best practicesBe self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environmentBe comfortable with the creation of in-depth, accurate technical documentationThis position will primarily be in a secured lab space, where the majority of work must be performed to support this taskingPosition requires SIPR NMCI access as well as access to multiple restricted areas

DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certifications:One of the following security certifications: CSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP.A Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD) is highly encouragedKnowledge of CND ashore and afloat systems is a plusKnowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables is a plusKnowledge of systems engineering activities and process improvement approaches strongly desiredProven experience in one or more of the following:Have system administration experience on DoD-deployed systemsBe knowledgeable with CND Information Assurance (IA) systemsHave basic knowledge of IP networking and protocolsAnalyze network traffic at the packet levelHave understanding of how to design, develop, install, implement and troubleshoot custom Windows applications, backup solutions, patching solutions, and configuration management solutionsKnowledge of systems engineering activities and process improvement approaches strongly desiredProvide technical support and document Windows Application and other appliances.General knowledge of the fundamentals of Microsoft Active Directory and related technologiesSystem evaluation, design and architecture of backups, patching, and configuration management application
Description
SRC is continuing and expanding their support of the Navy-s Network Security Integrated Product Team (NS IPT) Computer Network Defense (CND) program. The SRC team provides cutting-edge engineering, analysis, integration and life cycle sustainment support for the NS IPT/CND systems. The purpose of the Navy NS IPT/CND program is to augment CND capabilities and integrate them into the unique environments encountered by Navy forces. Navy CND is an integral part of the cyber defense posture, protecting the Navy-s component of the Global Information Grid (GIG) from exploitation and strongly linking to critical infrastructure protection. Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic requires resources to support the Research, Development, Test - Evaluation (RDT-E) and Integration activities for the Information Technology for the 21st Century (IT-21), and OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONENET) networks, to enhance network and cyber security.As a member of the NS IPT/CND Engineering Team the Windows Engineer will primarily provide engineering support for the Platform Boundary Defense (PBD) group, providing network security, support, installation, and system administration. This team consists of numerous engineers and SMEs tasked with finding the next solutions for NS IPT/CND systems. SRC is looking for qualified candidates for a challenging position within the Engineering Team.Physically racks and cables the PBD systemConfigures/tests the Windows/RHEL systemsConfigures/tests t an Active Directory domainTroubleshoots custom Window applications, backup solutions, patching solutions, configuration management solutionsCreates Engineering Changes to support the lifecycle including engineering documentationOpportunities for travel[#LI-SF1]
