Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.Experience with Market Analysis and Market Sizing.Preferred qualifications:MBA or graduate degree. 5 years of experience in the market and competitive research industry or buying, identifying, evaluating and using third-party research.Experience with the latest data/research in advertising (e.g., ad spend, creatives) or business to business sales data sources that improve sales outcomes (e.g., firmographic, technographic, intent, contacts).Experience in management consulting, private equity, or related project management, strategy or sales strategy/operations position at a business to business sales technology company.Ability to educate and inspire others.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to form and articulate financial and strategic business cases for various audiences. About the job The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.As a member of the Global Business Strategy and Operations team, you will lead projects that shape the future direction of the Google ads business. You will work with cross-functional leaders, and with external partners on critical projects that drive Google’s advertising business. As the Ads Industry Insights Manager, you will work with industry and functional experts who lead market/competitive intelligence research global programs that accelerate business growth and inform decision-making for Google’s ads business. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to estimate and publish Google’s source of truth on ads industry estimates used for investment and planning decisions, identify key trends in the ads industry, benchmark leading sales organizations to inject best practices into GBO, and provide understanding go-to-market strategy of competitors.The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis on market, competitive, and customer trends using analytical insight.Act as a subject matter expert of the ads industry and communicate latest industry trends and insights to executives and key stakeholders.Own Google’s go-to-source for ads industry forecast by working with internal stakeholders in Finance and GTM and external analysts to estimate and size the opportunity.Partner with teams across the GBO to uncover new external intelligence needs and identify appropriate vendors/methodologies to support the need.This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.
