Total care is provided by RNs.•Type of equipment: Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes mask, face shields, goggles, PAPR's and hoods for our COVID-19 patients.•Documentation system: Meditech using EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)•Scheduling requirements: All nursing shift are twelve hours from 7 to 7; every other weekend. Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems, and Don and Doff of PPE. Procedures performed on unit: Intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, continual renal replacement therapy (CRRT), proning of patients. Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus Dress Code: (Required uniform)•Ceil blue scrubs•White or ceil blue scrub jacket optional•If working with COVID patients, green surgery scrubs will be provided upon arrival to unit.Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.•Awards/Recognition: •HCA Unit of Distinction winner of top 10% and 5%.
