Overview

The Director position will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development and be responsible for leading and supporting our corporate development efforts, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, investments, and other growth initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction origination and execution.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

Work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop and implement the corporate development strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitive landscape, and company objectives.Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities and threats.Identify and evaluate potential M&A targets, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.

Transaction Origination & Execution:

Originate and drive transactions from initial concept through successful execution.Lead and support the due diligence process, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment/mitigation.Support the negotiation of transaction terms and manage the integration process post-transaction to ensure seamless alignment with company operations and strategic goals.

Infrastructure Maintenance & Improvement:

Continuously maintain and enhance corporate development infrastructure, including playbooks, templates, and M&A best practices.Ensure that processes and tools are updated to reflect industry standards and improve efficiency and effectiveness in deal execution.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

Lead and mentor junior members of the corporate development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of corporate development initiatives.Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executives, board members, investment banks, and potential partners.Develop presentation materials for the executive team, board of directors, and other key stakeholders to clearly communicate strategic insights, transaction updates, and recommendations.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is required, with an MBA preferred.8+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, and/or a related field with a strong track record in M&A transactions.Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction origination and execution.Self-starter with proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and drive multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen interest in the technology sector.

Location

This is a hybrid role in Milpitas, CA.

Travel

Occasional Per Company Requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in Milpitas, CA is $180,000 - $220,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
