About the Position:
The Senior Unix Administrator's role is to operate and tune Linux systems, servers and related components to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure Linux system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for Linux systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.Coordinate with network engineering, business application and database administration functions to implement Linux systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.Implement policies, procedures and technologies to ensure Linux system security through secure system access, monitoring, control and routine security evaluations.Perform standard configuration, management and maintenance tasks for related file systems, input/output systems, clustering, storage and applications.Perform and test system configuration backups and restores to ensure system recovery from error or outage.Perform and test data backups and restores.Review and deploy Linux system releases and vendor-supplied patches according to best practices.Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on all Linux systems.Support application development teams throughout project lifecycles.Monitor, test and tune system performance. Preserve and provide system log files as needed.Recommend and execute modifications to infrastructure in order to improve efficiency, reliability and performance.Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Certification7- 10 years' experienceInfrastructure as code.Ansible experienceFamiliarity with AzureK8 experience a plusDevSecOps and Cloud deployment experience is preferred.Linux (ubuntu & Red Hat preferred)Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
