About the Role
The Sales Manager - Power Burners Europe will be responsible for developing the power burner business in Europe from initial customer contact through to order and project implementation, supporting our project execution team. Proposals may involve small components or multi-million pound contracts. This requires a flexible, conscientious, hard-working and focused individual who likes to work in a challenging environment and often to tight deadlines. The role requires a strong 'all round' engineer with a strong commercial understanding to evolve enquiries from initial enquiry to proposing technical solutions to negotiating commercial contracts.Responsibilities
Identifying Business Opportunities:
Proactively researching and analysing market trends to uncover potential business prospects.Initiating Customer Contact and Developing Prospects into Enquiries:
Establishing initial contact with potential customers and converting these prospects into qualified enquiries.Supporting Customers with Front-End Feasibility and Study Work:
Assisting clients with feasibility studies and front-end engineering design (FEED).Evaluation of Customer Enquiries and Developing Work Scopes:
Analysing customer requests for quotes (RFQs) and inquiries.Conducting Customer Plant Visits and Site Surveys:
Traveling to customer sites to conduct on-site assessments.Developing Competitive and Innovative Solutions to Meet Customer Requirements:
Working closely with engineering and design teams.Performing Process and Engineering Design, Including Equipment Sizing and Optimization:
Carrying out detailed engineering calculations and design work.Obtaining Supplier Pricing and Preparing Project Budgets:
Engaging with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.Collaborating with Internal and External Stakeholders:
Working closely with sales representatives, project engineers, and other teams.Preparation of Detailed Technical and Commercial Proposals:
Writing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals.Following Up on Proposals and Addressing Client Clarifications:
Actively following up with clients after proposal submission.Presenting and Defining Concepts to Customers:
Delivering professional presentations to customers.Reviewing and Negotiating Commercial Terms and Conditions:
Carefully reviewing contractual terms and conditions.Commercial Negotiations and Closing Orders:
Leading the final stages of negotiation.Handover of Orders to Project Engineers for Execution:
Ensuring a smooth transition by handing over project details.Providing Post-Order Support to the Execution Team:
Offering ongoing support during the implementation phase.Adhering to Zeeco’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality Systems:
Ensuring compliance with HSE policies and quality standards.The Ideal Candidate
Technical or Engineering Qualification:
Holds a strong technical or engineering degree or certification.Industry Experience:
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry.Sales Expertise in UK & Europe:
Demonstrated experience in selling projects in the UK and Europe.Combustion Equipment Knowledge (Advantageous):
Some knowledge of combustion equipment.Mechanical or Process Engineering Background:
Ideally has a background in mechanical or process engineering.Adaptable and Team-Oriented:
