Emergency MedicineFull Time81787BRJob SummaryThe Human Resources Manager uses advanced administrative concepts and organization objectives to provide critical support and resolve complex issues. The individual oversees Human Resources and Academic Affairs functions in planning, project management, and personnel management for the Department of Emergency Medicine. The HR Manager reports to the Director of Operations and partners with DEM Leadership team.
Performance of administrative operations activities are the predominant focus of the position and the incumbent supervises support staff and/or a small number of professional HR staff. The HR Manager performs short and long-term planning for the function. Regularly works on highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals result in additional costs and serious delays.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. UCSF BenefitsDepartment DescriptionThe Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) provides emergency medical care to over 175,000 patients annually at the UCSF Medical Center at Parnassus, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals at Mission Bay and Oakland, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. DEM administrative and research staff supports the work of 90 full-time faculty and 50+ part-time attending physicians, a residency program, fellowship programs and over 300 house staff and students each year.
