A Day in the LifeThe DevOps Experience (DevX) team sits within the Software Engineering Organization. The DevX team is unique in supporting Pump dev teams across environments. DevX mission is to build a software factory that enables continuous innovation, continuous integration, quality checks, and throughput at a high rate of speed and efficiency.

The DevX team is focused on enabling the software engineering organization to focus on below tracks of work:

Core Platform building

Integration & Build quality checks

Build & Release Automation

Infrastructure Performance & Monitoring

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Proven ability to build production-level code, launch, and iterate under pressure.

Experience integrating C & C++ code and libraries in an embedded ecosystem.

Experience developing/maintaining consumer-facing software.

Architects and designs CI/CD infrastructure to deliver maintainable, scalable, reusable, and reliable efficient solutions and applications to automate key development workflows.

Articulates designs for complex, multi-component apps to be built across development teams.

Collaborates and drives out-of-the-box solutions that increase quality throughout the software engineering ecosystem and reduce time-to-build and quality checks.

Explores new architectural concepts and integrations that revolutionize diabetes management.

Acts independently to identify process improvements within the engineering group and proposes solutions.

Technical Skills

Bash, C/C++, YML, Python, JavaScript, JUnit, BDD Testing, Linux

GitLab and GitLab-Runners

AWS and Tools (Docker, Terraform, container platform development and operation)

Database Technologies

Embedded & Bluetooth Operations

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering or Sciences field and 4+ years of experience

Or, 2 + years of experience with a master’s degree

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of basic Bluetooth low-energy architecture and principles

Acts independently to identify process improvements within the engineering group and proposes solutions.

Capable of translating high-level requirements into well-designed implementations.

Adept at seeing change as an opportunity to improve business performance and campaigning for it when necessary.

MedTech or a controlled software industry experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $120,000.00 - $180,000.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
