The Laser Tracker Inspector / Operator proficiently and independently performs quality control inspections using a FARO or API laser tracker or a FARO Arm in a heavy manufacturing environment.RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct laser tracker or faro arm inspections to measure a variety of parts, machines, tooling, and structuresProduce easily understood, visually appealing inspection reports that include written descriptions, 3D pictures, and data tablesWrite or edit programs for precision machineryDetermine program requirements based on design and engineering specificationsOperate precision machinery as neededMaintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly conditions, following prescribed safety regulations inside and outside plantsMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsMaintain continuity between coworkers and/or shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsDocument actions by completing production timesheetsAccomplish organizational and group goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsAdditional duties as assigned
SCHEDULE
Monday to Saturday10-hour shifts Monday - Friday, 6-hour shift SaturdayOvertime availableDay shift, night shift, and overnight shift availableDouble-time Sunday
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent2 or more years of experience conducting inspections with a FARO or API laser tracker or FARO ArmPrevious experience with VeriSurf, Polyworks, or equivalent inspection software strongly preferredUnderstanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, CATIA, ENOVIA, and GD&T requiredAbility to pass a drug test, with little or no notice, in compliance with the lawAbility to pass a background check in compliance with the law
