Material Handler - 1st shift

The primary function of the Material Handler is to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping and/or receiving products. This ambassador will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics, and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation for the business. In addition, this position will work closely with manufacturing to achieve defined departmental goals of productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery, 6s, and safety. Ambassadors in this position will be expected to develop and display knowledge, skills, and willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks, flex to work needs, drive safely, maintain ongoing positive and collaborative work behaviors, and reliably work all scheduled hours.

Demonstrates the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks and interactions with others.Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks, and interactions with others.Assist with loading and unloading products from warehouse racks, per production/distribution center requirements, to ensure the meeting of production goals.Timely replenishment for production support is expected to ensure ZERO impact to production flow and our customers.Operate forklifts or other hand trucks. Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure the accuracy of inventory. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.Perform cycle counts as required.Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped.Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material-handling equipment.Identify safety hazards in the workplace.Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or bins for storage or shipments.Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.Move and manipulate products/material weighing up to 50 pounds, involving frequent twisting, lifting, turning, and bending. Continuously pulls, pushes, and tugs materials.Share appropriate information with the team leader, supervisor, and/or maintenance personnel about any mechanical problems and/or shortages that would interfere with production.Perform and cross-train on other job functions as directed; may rotate through various tasks in the work area.Assures and maintains the safety and cleanliness of the work area by performing housekeeping duties.Develop skills to problem solve effectively with others.May learn to assist with the completion of appropriate paperwork.HAVE FUN!Other duties as assigned by leadership.OUR AWESOME BENEFITS

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.Previous experience operating powered forklifts is preferred.Knowledge of various material-handling equipment is an asset.Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.Ability to use computer and scanning equipment.Ability to read and understand job aids and other instructional material printed in English preferred.Ability to lift/move product weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.Ability to work within team environment required.Ability to help drive culture change through support of our Core Values: Find a Better Way, Do the Right Thing and Be the Best.Support a Fun Positive work culture to create a great place to work!
