ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. ECS is responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining a complete 'Data Services' solution which includes the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cyber data from more than 100 Federal agencies. The CDM Data Services product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements.

ECS is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer that can validate initial stakeholder requests, evaluate technologies, and provide feedback and guidance on various aspects of solution design. This role will involve working across teams with the goal of optimizing development, delivery, and operations of our solution. Motivation to explore problems, to find creative solutions and grow existing skillsets is a must. We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and engaging team members who love a challenge! The ideal candidate will be able to align to the following duties:

Work independently and with a team to evaluate and deliver robust solutions for complex technical requirementsDocument and present solutions to internal teamsEvaluate and identify process improvement opportunitiesExecute standard operating procedures (SOPs) to satisfy regular daily operationsSupport, guide, and mentor junior engineers through knowledge transfer and paired programmingInstall, configure, maintain, update, manage and refine information systemsRespond to alerts on performance, security, and configuration eventsEnsure system components maintain compliance with client requirements and relevant security policiesWork with the security team to evaluate vulnerabilities and determine appropriate treatmentsCoordinate and/or provide support for applications and operationsSupport functional, interoperability, and security testing eventsMust be a US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust SuitabilityBachelor's degree or 4 years of experience4 years of experience designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining solutions within Amazon Web Services (GovCloud preferred)3 years of infrastructure experience related to network security3 years of experience refining and executing processes and standard operating procedures3 years of experience monitoring solutions that provide alerts through various mechanisms3 years of experience supporting infrastructure systems in compliance with security standards and policies3 years of experience evaluating security posture and providing solutions to treat security findings2 years of experience managing logging and monitoring solutions with subsequent analysis and reporting2 year of experience supporting Cloud Engineering and Automation (e.g., DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline, Infrastructure as Code)Experience utilizing Kubernetes (K8) for container orchestration and managementExperience producing technical documentation to communicate system designs and technological analysis
