Duties/Responsibilities :
Month-end close process including journal entries
Journal EntriesAccount ReconciliationsAnalyze VariancesMonth End ReportingPayroll processing and reportingResponsible for the upkeep of inventory standards including overhead rates and leading the annual physical inventory process.Cost accounting knowledgeFollows internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.Preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.Manages timely updating of fixed asset subledger, depreciation expense and asset disposals.Assists as key finance team member supporting the year-end external audit.Completes annual real estate and personal property tax returns.Reviews monthly insurance claims and drives annual workers comp audit, as well as 401k census.Partner and support plant leadershipSupports other functions (HR, Engineering, Operations, etc...) with accounting requests.Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Job Skills Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient in accounting GL software as well as Microsoft Excel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting; or five + years equivalent combination of education and training.
