Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will ensure ship inventory is properly maintained and all materials meet shipboard specifications. You will coordinate shipboard personnel hazardous material training. You will investigate problems as they occur, recommend resolutions, and report to the chain of command. You will coordinate ordering and delivery of HAZMAT materials. You will train and assist with offload/disposal of excess material and the preparation of transfer documents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge and application of supply chain management and software to provide logistical support for services such as receiving, shipping, distribution and delivery of services and materials. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Complying with Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) storage requirements and regulations, labeling, and procedures; 2) Maintaining shipment of inventory and inspecting materials for compliance with regulations; 3) Resolving discrepancies within inventory management and customer service; 4) Utilizing automated systems for inventorying and recording records.
