JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position maintains accurate data in the processing and release of prisoners, including photographs and fingerprints in compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations. This position types complaints and court orders, maintains detailed knowledge of elements of criminal offenses, motor vehicle and criminal laws and explains the nature of complaint or arrest to offenders, maintains custody, control, and security of prisoners and their personal effects. This position will ensure that regular checks of prisoners are accomplished, evaluate the nature of common medical emergencies and administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary. Performs other related duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, is part of the Teamsters Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 11, with an hourly rate dependent upon experience.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma and 1 year of schooling in related field; Associates Degree in Criminal Justice preferredA combination of equivalent education and experience will be consideredMust have a minimum of 1 year relevant work experiencePolice officer or correctional experience preferredProficiency in use of computersCPR/First aid certification, recommended, however can obtain certification upon being hiredBENEFITSOur comprehensive benefits package includes:
