Location:Community Health Department The City of Nashua is looking for a compassionate registered nurse who enjoys supporting the community and working with our citizen population to work per diem in our Community Health Department.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a public health nurse, you will work closely with staff and community partners to prevent, promote and protect the health of the citizens of the Greater Nashua Region through community outreach, education, collaboration and health services. The per diem public health nurse serves clients in our child and adult immunization clinics and STD/HIV/HCV walk-in clinics. Outreach services are also provided in the community through our public health mobile van. Primary duties include, but are not limited to vaccine administration and education, lead testing and education, sexual health education and STD/HIV/HCV disease counseling and testing, syringe services for harm reduction. The per diem nurse may also assist with communicable disease investigation, emergency preparedness, home visits for various programs and other public health initiatives. This is a per diem position, hours are varied but primarily afternoon/evening clinic hour coverage and evening and weekend event coverage. The hourly rate is $35.15.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
