Position Overview (Summary/Objective):
ARKA Group, LP is seeking a talented mid-level software engineer to join our team that supports U.S. defense and intelligence community partners. By joining our team, you will be part of teams building innovative software solutions using mathematical solutions to support users in the defense and intelligence communities. Your strong technical skills and passion for innovation will be instrumental in supporting our customers and their missions to keep us safe.
Responsibilities:Take algorithm definitions and prototypes and convert them into robust software applications that run efficiently on large images and are ready for operational environments. Collaborate with radar/electro-optical and research scientist experts to solve issues and iterate to improve image product quality.Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using modern programming languages and technologies. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.Build and improve on automated test and verification software and tools.Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner.Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizenMust have a Top-Secret clearance, willing to get SCI access.Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology fields.(5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree)5 years relevant work experience.Programming skills in C++, Python, and/or JAVA.Experience developing in a Linux environment.Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work within a team environment to advance large software development packages by taking on and completing tasks independently.Preferred Qualifications:
Other language skills: Java, Rust, scripting or similar.Academic or professional experience in radar or electro-optical fields.Work in formal software development methodologies (Agile).Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred).Experience writing software implementing algorithms.Desire to learn new technologies.Location:
