To thrive as the Senior Director, Philanthropic Engagement & Experience at United Way for Southeastern Michigan, candidates must possess a robust skill set rooted in strategic leadership and effective communication. A bachelor's degree in business, social science, community organizing, or a related field is essential, complemented by a minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in volunteer services, community relations, or project management. Candidates should demonstrate 3-5 years of people management experience, showcasing their ability to lead and inspire teams.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools for fundraising, volunteer engagement, and community organizing is crucial. Successful candidates will also exhibit strong analytical skills, enabling them to assess program effectiveness and implement best practices. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with a customer-centric approach, will enhance their ability to build impactful relationships with corporate donors and community partners.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
