General Information:
Balanced Dukes is the wellness and well-being program for faculty and staff at James Madison University. We are looking for a student to assist with a variety of creative and exciting projects in our department. Balanced Dukes strives to offer programs, challenges, workshops, informational sessions, and more that focus on the core areas of well-being.The Balanced Dukes Intern will work with the Coordinator of Employee Well-Being to support the mission of enhancing the wellness and well-being of our faculty and staff. This position will work an average of 15 hours per week over the school year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create a selection of journals and handouts that will be used by faculty and staff for various well-being initiatives (gratitude, fitness, nutrition, etc...).• Work with the team to create virtual resources that will be used by departments on campus for self-led wellness and well-being departmental challenges.• Other creative projects as they arise.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications• Experience working with Canva• Ability to work 10-15 hours per week during the semester• Excellent time management and organization skills• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
Preferred Qualifications• Background or strong interest in health, wellness, and/or well-being.

Conditions of Employment:
Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
