Senior Back End Software Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Back End Software Engineer to join our team at Capital One. You will collaborate with Agile teams, experiment with new technologies, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions. As a Senior Back End Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving a major transformation within Capital One. If you have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, we encourage you to apply!Responsibilities:Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologiesStay on top of tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering communityWork with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our customersUtilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services, and a variety of AWS tools and servicesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeAt least 3 years of professional software engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service3+ years of experience in open source frameworks2+ years of experience in Agile practicesIf you are passionate about technology and want to be part of a collaborative and inclusive environment, we would love to hear from you!
