Essential Job Functions:
The Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), Department of State (DoS), Charleston, SC requires the contractor to provide Day Operator services in the Global Systems Division, Financial Systems Operations Unit.
Financial Systems Operations Unit (FSO) is responsible for the operation of both domestic and overseas financial systems, including payroll, accounting, accounts receivable, disbursing, cash reconciliation, data warehouse, imaging and Treasury reporting systems. The Unit is a DevOps environment that implements software deliveries from the Dev team, but also creates/develops scripting solutions to aid the Unit’s myriad of support objectives. The work environment is low stress and conducive for expanding functional and technical knowledge. Because the customer base is worldwide, the Unit is responsible for after-hours support (via a duty phone rotation).
Job Responsibilities
• Perform administrator and operational duties on computer systems, including monitoring and troubleshooting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual automated job streams, and manually following and executing work instructions for various financial systems.
• Maintains files as required by the vendor or custom design application.
• Analyze, evaluate and test software/hardware problems.
• Directs installation, planning and security of computer facilities.
• Develop and maintain systems configuration.
• Prepare activity and progress reports regarding support activities.
• Respond, investigate and correct problems.
• Act as a resource for all users. Organize appropriate training. Utilize commercial off-the-shelf products.

Minimum Requirements:
• Four-year degree in computer science or business or closely related field.
• Technical certification in computer systems administration
• 5 years’ experience in supporting installed computer systems and the user communities supported by these systems.
Work Schedule:
The employee will work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:15 am to 6:00 pm with a non-compensated 45-minute lunch (See your Project Manager for work schedule and department policies). Additional hours may be required and must be authorized by your Project Manager and DoS Management. This is a hybrid position with 2 days teleworking and 3 days on-site. (update based on department requirements)
