Job Description
The Quality Assurance Team Lead is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the facility's Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs. Ensure compliance with company, government, customers and GSFI standards. Inspect, audit and validate all phases of quality performance (quality at the source, raw materials, production, packaging and distribution).
Duties and responsibilities
Assist in the smooth running of the department by playing a leading and supportive role in the daily affairs of the department as needed by management.Play a leading role in training and verifying SFQA Technicians are executing all quality procedures, inspections, and required laboratory test to ensure products meet or exceed the written specifications.Assists management in monitoring and training all personnel in good manufacturing practices (GMP to ensure food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.Routinely conduct internal audits such as GMP, Glass and Brittle Plastic, Pre-op etc.Responsible for accurately reporting data and daily HACCP documents for the compliance of our Food Safety & Quality Programs, on customer-facing documents including, but not limited to, Certificates of Analysis.Assist in inventory management of chemicals, personal protective equipment and supplies needed by FSQA Team.Assist in sample collection, inspections, preparations, analytical testing, interpretation, recording and reporting of analytical results as well as taking actions when results are not within specification.Conduct food safety and quality checks at required frequencies.Assist in paperwork review and filing.Provide all initial and ongoing quality and GMP training programs for quality inspectors, as well as the general employee population.Other duties as assigned.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Leadership Responsibilities

Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, Bilingual a plus2+ years in the food manufacturing industryMust be able to use Microsoft (outlook, excel, word)Have the flexibility to work around changing work schedules.Ability to direct, train and coach employees in a positive mannerInternal applicants must be permanent employeeThe company participates in E-Verify and candidates must be authorized to work in the United StatesEducation/Certification
High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate Degree preferredHACCP certification preferredWorking conditions
Able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 34- 38 degrees FahrenheitPhysical requirements
Be able to lift up to 50+ lbs.Be able to bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, push and pull for 8-10 hours a dayBe able to perform repetitive motions during the duration of the shift
