Description

WSNF, located on thehistoric campus of Western State Hospital, is a 144-bed state funded Skilled Nursing Facility. The facilityhas earned a Five-Star Quality Rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and is listed on the"Best Nursing Homes" by US News and World Reports. We are seeking a BH/DID Program Manager for our SocialServices Department.
A COVID19 vaccination is recommended for this position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Recommends and assigns all Social Work staff to unit areas. Schedules and alters staffing patterns as needed. Serves as liaison with all state psychiatric facilities as well as non-state operated facilities. Establishes and reviews all admission criteria. Screens admissions as necessary.Interprets, plans and implements administrative, facility and departmental policies, as well as those for Governing Body. Provides leadership and consultation with those necessary to plan and organize treatment plans and service delivery. Conducts facility in-services and education.Serves as a committee member on all management teams and Executive Council. Prepares clinical reports as required. May serve as Acting Administrator and rotates as Administrator on-call as assigned. Attends and testifies at legal hearings as required.Performs other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate would have:

Therefore, pursuant to IRS Publication 1075 and 900 KAR 1:009 or KRS 194A.062and 900 KAR 1:050, applicants for this position in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) shallsubmit to a fingerprint-based criminal background check by the Department of Kentucky State Police and theFederal Bureau of Investigation.
CHFS also participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information toconfirm that you are authorized to work in U.S. CHFS will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offerand completed the Form I-9.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional experience in the administration or management of institutional activities, BHDID Central Office, community, or agency programs.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, nursing, health administration, or public or business administration will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
This position typically requires working in an institution or facility with individuals who may have behavioral health conditions, developmental disabilities, etc. or in an office setting within a behavioral health or intellectual disabilities program.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
