The Business Development Specialist contributes to the business development objectives and processes for the Eocene - Sustainability business unit. This position is responsible for supporting activities related to business development and ensuring client satisfaction. The role plays a pivotal role in connecting clients, both existing and new to the organizations service offerings. The role will also collaborate with other business units within Eocene on various business development initiatives.
Essential Job Duties:
Manage leads through the sales cycle, including scheduling meetings and leveraging appropriate staff to present business offeringsResearch new leads and provide relevant information to subject matter experts who will be participating in meetingsCoordinate development of quotes and proposals for prospective clients and current clients for business expansions or renewalsMonitor RFPs and grant opportunities and develop strategies for working with collaborative partners on project proposalsFacilitate the development and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, statements of work and master service agreementsCollaborate with account managers to complete required accounting needs for new clients and new projects for current clientsAssist the project team to transition from the contracting process to project kickoffMonitor Customer Relationship Management software and associated processes, including development of reports and other metrics that will help the business measure successMaintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetingsSupport, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's culture of safety and employee ownershipComply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follow all company policies and proceduresOther Duties:

Position will require some outside travel, mainly for conference attendance or speaking engagementsJOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Business or related field (Associated degree with comparable professional experience may be considered)Experience in business development strongly preferredKnowledge of multiple agricultural industries and their respective supply chainsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to work with a team of cross-functional experts in multiple locationsExperience in using a Customer Relationship Management systemExperience with Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating systemDemonstrated excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patienceCommunicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technicalAbility to function in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environmentAbility to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendorsA collaborative, motivated attitude
