The Presbyterian Community has a wonderful opportunity for a
Assistant Director of Culinary Services . This leadership position will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Dining Department.
Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to, the following:
Responsible for service and operational excellence in quality, presentation, and overall dining experience, meeting and exceeding the expectation of PCSC residents.Assuring quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and ensure that the dining services department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.Requisitioning and inspecting food, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels with support of the Chef and ensuring standards of quality are met.Managing dining staff including the chef, servers, cooks, and utility workers to achieve operating efficiencies in quality of service, resident satisfaction and financial performance.Maintaining quality-dining services and staffing within the prescribed budget.Making frequent inspections of all work, storage, and serving areas to determine that regulations governing food safety and sanitation are followed.Preparing cleaning schedule, production worksheet and staff schedules along with completing staff reviews.Interviewing, orientating, and training staff to our culture and expectations.
Requirements
Education, Experience and Skills:
Education:
Associates Degree, Certified Dietary Manager Certification, along with ServSafe Certification
Experience:
Three or more years in a supervisory culinary role
Skill:
Proficiency in Microsoft software programs. Strong planning, organizing, leadership and team management skills. Comprehensive knowledge of food service systems and administration.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience: Direct experience working in senior living as a culinary supervisor.
