Hours of work:
Mondays - Fridays, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 Hours/Week - Work as required of a salaried professional managing a production environment with sole responsibility for the output and maintenance of the facility.
The Plant Manager manages the manufacture of Carbon Adsorption and related equipment for the Engineered Systems Group consisting of standard and custom products, components, and service equipment. The Plant Manager is directly responsible for plant safety, production, operating budget, and cost accounting at the product level and sales (project) level. The Plant Manager is responsible for plant capital planning, asset management, facility maintenance and environmental permit compliance. The Plant Manager oversees inventory control, product quality, and planning/scheduling, and manages refurbishment of service fleet and expenses including outsourcing. The Plant Manager is responsible for operating budget of ~ $5MM and approximately 50 employees.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
Manage the plant's Safety program to corporate guidelines. Maintain a safe work environment via development, training, and enforcement of detailed safety policies and proceduresReport financial results of cost center budgets, project costs, and refurbishment expensesRespond to customer opportunities requiring fast response to support company's product and service businessManage personnel issues such as recruiting, retention, compensation, disciplinary action, development, performance measurement, and conflict resolutionManage the flow of work through the plant to produce products to job requirements within the budget and time constraintsEnsure product quality through a system of quality management within the plant and outside suppliersOversee inventory at site. Oversee capital asset fleet inventory at site.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required7-10 years'
direct Plant Management or area management of a larger facility is required.Pressure vessel fabrication or metal manufacturing experience in a job shop environment is preferred.
