Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The primary goal of the Office of Admission at Fayetteville State University is to attract and enroll a diverse student body that represents a wide range of geographic, religious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. To do so, the Office of Admission will work closely with alumni and other constituencies to support recruitment efforts while promoting excellent customer service & transparency about the admission process.
Description of Work Continued:
Primary Purpose of the Position:In this full-time administrative support role, operating under the direct guidance of the executive director, the incumbent is tasked with overseeing and managing all office operations, procedures, and assigned tasks. The objective is to guarantee a smooth application upload process through NOLIJ, ensuring the seamless flow of information and providing necessary system updates (such as residency and admissions decisions). Additionally, the position involves the crucial responsibility of matching student credentials with their respective applications.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Knowledge skills and abilities:Ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Knowledge of SCT Banner student information system and various CRM software. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite Knowledge of admission processing Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills. Strong multi-tasking/time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage large volumes of records and maintain the highest-level confidentiality.
