THE ROLE :
As a key member of the AMD litigation team, the Paralegal will provide crucial support in handling legal matters related to threatened or actual claims, disputes, litigation, third-party subpoenas, and government inquiries. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with internal teams, outside counsel, and various business units, playing an integral part in ensuring legal processes run smoothly. You'll help manage e-discovery collections, organize litigation files, and assist attorneys in fact investigations and document preservation. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your organizational and investigative skills will shine as you work directly with in-house litigation attorneys.THE PERSON :We are looking for a highly organized, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of managing tight deadlines and shifting priorities with minimal oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with all levels of the organization, and the ability to maintain confidentiality is critical. You should have a keen eye for detail, excellent business judgment, and high ethical standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :Provide paralegal assistance to AMD attorneys and outside counsel involved in litigation, administrative, and regulatory matters.Organize and track litigation files, deadlines, and case information using an electronic document management system.Manage e-discovery document collections and assist with the document preservation process, including scheduling interviews and preparing summaries.Assist in fact investigations, due diligence, and witness interviews, as well as compliance with document retention directives.Serve as a liaison between AMD's law department, business units, and external vendors or counsel.Assist with budgeting, calendaring, and other administrative duties as needed.Support attorneys in responding to third-party subpoenas and government inquiries.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :Litigation paralegal experience in a corporate or law firm setting is strongly preferred.Familiarity with the discovery process, e-discovery platforms, and subpoena handling.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and document management systems.Experience working directly with legal counsel on administrative or regulatory matters.Notary license is a plus.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS :An undergraduate degree is preferred.Paralegal certification or equivalent practical experience is highly desired.LOCATION :Austin, TX#LI-KG1#LI-HybridAt AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
