By merging our fields of expertise, we aim to become a fully integrated precision medicine company.Summary of PositionThe primary role of the Business Development Manager of Pharma Partnerships is to grow market presence and sales by identifying new business opportunities, converting opportunities to sales, and building strong long-term relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. You must have strong sales track records in CRO services and relationships with pharmaceutical/biotech companies, as well as KOLs, translational oncologists and biomarker experts.Key Job ElementsResponsible for the development of sales and growth strategies of Fulgent sequencing/pharma products and services with pharmaceutical and biotech companies.Maintain a high level of knowledge of Fulgent's products and the needs of the market.Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies for their clinical trials and R&D programs.Support educational, sales, or promotional events, and conferences.Work to continuously promote organic growth through educating target markets of Fulgent products, development, and customer service programs.Track leading indicator goals and sales incentive goals for each target market, identifying improvement plans for missing goal targets.Lead cross-functional teams and negotiate sales arrangements and terms.In communication with the respective team, develop a market plan for short-, medium- and long-term growth. Achieve territory sales and revenue goals.Guide, train, and evaluate NGS Pharma Partnerships business development team. Manage and assign projects, as well as provide mentorship on business ethics and behavior.QualificationsKnowledge / ExperienceB.S. or Master's degree in life sciences, genetics, or biotechnology.5+ years of experience in sales with a strong track record of generating revenue in the pharma/biotech/clinical trial sector. Deep understanding of Next Generation Sequencing including WGS, WES, RNA-seq, Chip-seq, solid tumor profiling, and liquid biopsy. Good understanding of pathology services (e.g. FISH, Flow Cytometry, IHC)Good understanding of clinical trials and how Fulgent's products/services can support clinical trialsStrong capability to engage in technical discussions with scientists in the pharma/biotech sectorStrong presentation skillsSelf-motivated, accountable for managing one's own time.Training or experience in sales.Availability to travel ≥25% of the time.Experience servicing technical leads at pharmaceutical companies (e.g. biomarker specialists).EnvironmentFulgent Therapeutics LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
