Thermon is currently in search of a
Senior System Administrator
to join our team IT team on a full-time basis. As an Sr. Sys Admin, you will be a part of a highly collaborative, multi-functional team where you will support a global organization with their IT needs.
As a technical expert in the area of system administration, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from providing support with escalated help desk tickets to providing system administration for complex operating systems. As a global company, you will collaborate with teams in both the Western and Eastern hemispheres.

This position is a hybrid role from our Southwest Austin location.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Technical Expert
- Take the lead in systems administration for complex operating systems, supporting a global, multi-office network and server infrastructure.
Champion Azure and Cost-Efficient Cloud Solutions
Provide strategic guidance on Azure services, with an eye for effective cost management to maximize cloud efficiency and innovation.
Drive Process Excellence and Documentation Standards
Foster a process-driven, supportive culture by delivering high-quality documentation and championing best practices across technical support and systems operations.
Optimize Systems, Upgrades, and User Access
Manage new installations, proactive upgrades, and user role-based access to maintain smooth operations and scale with business growth.
Resolve Complex Technical Challenges
Take ownership of escalated support issues, monitor daily systems operations, and tackle server, storage, and backup resolutions for a seamless IT experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or at least 7 years of hands-on experience as a Systems or Cloud Administrator, with proven expertise in O365, VMware, and Microsoft virtual desktop infrastructure.
In-depth experience with Active Directory (including DHCP, DNS, and GPOs), Citrix server management, and supporting Microsoft Azure (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) with cost optimization.
Skilled in implementing cybersecurity controls aligned with the NIST framework, ensuring compliance and security for enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, HP servers, Unity SANs, Rubrik backup solutions, and monitoring tools such as Corner Bowl and Data Dog.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities, with a track record of collaborating across multiple time zones and creating seamless teamwork.
Proficient in scripting and automation to manage and optimize Azure services, alongside experience with SCCM for effective patch management.
