Perform testing of registry software to ensure the efficiency of applications used by the Immunization Branch.Perform unit, functional, regression, user acceptance and release testing, establish and improve software release processes / procedures.Assist with design, analysis, maintenance, documentation, and testing of software, e.g. test Immunization Branch software to resolve application issues.Create and document test strategies / test plans / test cases to perform testing.Establish and improve quality assurance processes / procedures.Advise or train users regarding the technical aspects and use of standard software packages, e.g. work with individual users to improve data quality.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training2-3 years' experience in the health fieldMinimum 1+ years of related experienceWorking knowledge of software functions and analysisWorking understanding of the design, development and analysis of software. Working skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and analysisUnderstands compliance requirements for applicable industry or agency standardsInterpersonal skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise mannerSelf-motivated, ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, works independently and as part of a team and demonstrate problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge relating to the design, development and analysis of software.Working skills in software lifecycle managementWorking skills in software testingWorking skills in understanding and implementing the release cyclesDemonstrated strong problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to provide excellent customer serviceAbility to manipulate and manage data of reportsDemonstrated ability to prepare and present reports for proposals and other reports as neededAdvanced knowledge of SQLPreferred QualificationsWorking understanding of the use of automated testing tools, including skill to perform automated QA proceduresWorking knowledge of other areas of IT.
