Job Title: Systems Administrator
Job Location: Alexandria, VA.
Job Description:
Syneren is currently seeking a Systems Administrator for one of our DOD contracts.
Responsibilities:
Maintain Azure cloud solutions, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks
Maintain, track and renewal of DOD SSL certificates
Create Azure Storage reports
Produce STIG checklist on a quarterly basis
Install windows & 3rd party software updates and remediate security vulnerabilities
Create VMs snapshots and troubleshoot VMs issues
Monitor Azure infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system operation and availability
Automate routine tasks and processes using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to improve operational efficiency
Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for system enhancements or optimizations
Required Qualifications:
2 years of proven experience as a Windows Server System Administrator in the US Federal Government, preferably with a focus on Azure cloud technologies
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Understanding of Azure services and solutions, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking
US Citizenship required (Please do not apply if no US Citizenship)
Active Secret Clearance
IAT II Certifications IAW DoD (For DoD IAT Level 2, the two required certs are as follows: CompTIA Security+ or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) Other security-related certs that are accepted (in addition to the above two certs) as well for the DoD IAT Level 2 include the following as well: CCNA Security; CySA+; GICSP; GSEC)
