The Senior Communications Manager for Magnetic Resonance (MR) and Women’s Health and X-ray (WHXR) is integral to executing global public relations (PR) and cultural communication strategies. Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Communications leadership: Partner with business leadership to align communication strategies with business goals, ensuring cohesive messaging across all platforms and initiatives. Develop and execute PR campaigns, employee engagement activities, digital and social media initiatives, and promotional events. Utilize traditional media outlets, social media, and internal communication tools to achieve business objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Marketing, Internal Communications, and Corporate Communications to create and disseminate messages that resonate with target audiences.
Cross-functional Support: Offer strategic communication support for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring a consistent and cohesive message across all business activities.
Communication Materials Development: Create content for product launches, events, and promotions, including press releases, talking points, presentations, and social media posts. Pitch these materials to media and influencers to secure earned media coverage.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track and analyze communication initiatives’ success using key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven insights. Use findings to refine and optimize future strategies and tactics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, journalism, or related field.
10+ years’ experience working in PR and/or Culture Communications – either in a corporate or agency environment.
Ability to understand GE HealthCare’s goals and proactively identify opportunities to meet them.
Clear thinking, creative communication and problem-solving skills with demonstrated success leading multiple projects/initiatives within communications / PR function.
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge and experience in the Healthcare Industry.
Experience working in a matrixed, global environment.
Demonstrated success supporting and managing communications for senior-level business clients.
Adaptability: being open to change in response to new information, feedback, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations; able to deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations, including continuing to persevere and remaining calm in challenging or frustrating circumstances.
Dependability: high say/do ratio.
Flexibility: ability to work on numerous projects.
Bias toward action, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
External focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
