The AppleCare Business Development Manager is responsible for developing partnerships with Resellers/Retailers and Carriers, formulating strategies to deliver revenue growth with AppleCare sales. This role is essential in developing partnerships that deliver impact and scale. You will work with a cross-functional team in developing strategies and business cases, structuring and executing partnerships, and driving strategic initiatives to grow our AppleCare business.

The AppleCare Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing the business for partners, where key tasks involve: - Being an AppleCare product and solutions expert: Be the “go-to” person for creating AppleCare customer propositions (standard/tailored) and promote AppleCare features & benefits across internal teams and external partners alike. - Develops and drives strategic Account Plans in collaboration with the Hardware sales teams. Regular business updates on sales & key achievements and represent AppleCare in Partner Business Reviews. - Owns AppleCare Sales Results. Develops and performs tactical activities to achieve targets for dedicated partners. Look at winning/retaining partners through variety of Back-End Margin programs. - Works on growing the AppleCare footprint in the region, by winning and onboarding new partners all the while maintaining a healthy pipeline of accounts across different channels. - Grows the AppleCare business with existing partners by developing and implementing initiatives across the three levers of Awareness, Advocacy and Offers/Promotions. - Constantly screen market for opportunities, create business cases/propositions for cross functional stakeholders to secure buy-ins to implement. - Internal Relationships/Collaboration - builds and maintains important contacts with various internal partners in an effort to achieve results. They include besides the Apple Care teams (Channel Partner Programs, Commercial, Field Service) especially the Hardware Sales Country management team in the region (Account Managers). - Negotiation Lead - responsible for the AppleCare Service contract negotiation with Retail/Carriers and Insurers in the dedicated region. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: - Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets - Healthy pipeline of account to backup quarterly/annual sales targets - Creation of a clear Account Plan with all the cross-functional contributors (Hardware Sales teams, field services team) - Successful closing of AppleCare deals in the region - Quality of Business reviews for accounts/countries
Minimum Qualifications
Strong experience of commercial deal development and sales execution.
Sales track record in a comparable space with strong sales mind-set and tenacity
Business Understanding: Deep understanding of the retailer, reseller and wireless channels in US. Understanding of the B2C service business and go-to-market strategies for extended service and support agreements.
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and presentation skills with experience navigating complex sales situations.
High comfort in collaborating with C-level within Apple and at the Partner account level.
Analytical Skills: Self-starter with an analytical orientation, strategic vision, and strong executional track record. A strong command of business and financial modelling is important to success in this role.
Dealing with ambiguity: be able to manage and work with incomplete information on resources, cross functional priorities and timelines.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with strong networking ability.
Adept at fostering strong relationships across a broad group of partners.
Demonstrate a passion, energy and focus on developing and growing multi-million dollar business programs in your dedicated region.
Strong attention to detail.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
