Description of Duties:
The Junior Cyber Security Project/RMF Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Work under a mid or senior-level cybersecurity engineer to apply their understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and guides (such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Risk Management Framework (RMF) or the Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)) to specific systems to manage and improve their cybersecurity posture.
• Work with Project stakeholders and technical teams to identify and prepare cybersecurity artifacts.
• Review and validate all relevant Security Controls and/or applicable departmental policies for each IT system assigned.
• Develop and maintain Documentation.
• Develop and maintain Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Be assigned to multiple projects and support the project manager through the entire project life-cycle.
• Support the review and update of CND procedures, processes, manuals, and other documentation .

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 3 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 1 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of general experience.
• Must have 1 years of related experience in relevant business systems, operating systems, and servers and/or experience in light programming, project management of small initiatives, and troubleshooting.
• Must have a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification with Continuing Education. (CE) - (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Requirements:
• Have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
• Have experience with RMF, STIGs, and/or eMASS.
• Have experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms.
• Experience with cybersecurity vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with Guidance:- Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST 800-37 Rev 2, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 4 or NIST Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)
• DISA Connection Process Guide.
• Department of Defense Instructions.
• Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
• Be familiar with basic project management methodologies.
• Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication.
• Have an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
This position is expected to pay $73,500 - $98,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
