*Employment Type:* Full time *Shift:* Day Shift *Description:* IR Tech for Neuro Interventional Radiology and Interventional Radiology. Monday thru Friday 8 hour day shift position with rotating on call requirements.*$20K Sign On Bonus for this Full Time role **NEW INCREASED HOURLY PAY RATES*
* Demonstrates thorough knowledge of radiographic, digital imaging equipment and correct performance of post processing including proper patient and exam identification as well as procedural specific annotations before releasing study images to PACS.* Demonstrates an understanding of radiation exposure factors, complies with policies regarding radiation exposure monitoring.* Demonstrates an understanding of cpt coding and entry of procedural charges in electronic medical record.* Provides safe patient care by assisting with patient transfers and demonstrates proper positioning of patients presenting for diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.* Assists physician with sterile procedures, complies with Universal Precautions and Infection Control policies* Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before administering exam.* Demonstrates an understanding of anatomy & physiology as well as procedures performed by the Interventional Radiology (IR) team and the equipment and supplies available to perform said procedures.* Assists physicians as scrub/circulator for Interventional Radiology procedures including, but not limited to, arteriograms for cerebral, renal, mesenteric, pelvic and extremity circulation (possible angioplasty/stent placement/thrombolytic therapy/embolization), percutaneous gastrostomy tube procedures, percutaneous nephrostomy and urologic stenting procedures, venous access procedures, venography of the extremities, inferior and superior vena cava (possible angioplasty/stent placement/filter placement/thrombolytic therapy), percutaneous cholangiogram (possible balloon dilation/stent placement/drainage catheter placement/stone extraction), transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and is willing to adapt to new technologies and protocols.* Demonstrates competency in removal of vascular sheaths, application of dressings, and manipulation of various catheters/drains.* Is willing to work in fast paced, critical care environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.* Maintains readiness of IR labs by performing routine checks on equipment, maintaining par levels for products used in the labs, and facilitating the timely reordering of supplies. Promptly reports any concerns or deficiencies to biomed/supervisor/management.* Participates in quality improvement and activities to meet patient satisfaction goals.* Attends departmental meetings, interacts with other members of the team in a professional manner, and works with team to meet productivity standards.* Takes 10-15 days of call each month, responding within 30 minutes for all callbacks* Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the needs of the patients are met and to support daily operations in Interventional Radiology.*Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion*
