Kodiak is seeking a

Systems Administrator I,

who will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. They will install hardware and software, and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company. Supports front-line IT customer service team and IT business services team with all systems, networks/LAN/WAN, cybersecurity, and cloud services. Also provides investigation, diagnostics, testing and repair/resolution of systems, hardware, software and supporting infrastructure.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Systems Administration

Required tasks to fulfill primary responsibility:Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualizationInstall and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processesTroubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issuesProvide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructurePerform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover proceduresMake sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptionsResponsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performancePRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Technical Team

Required tasks to fulfill primary responsibility:

Manage customer needs through issue identification, resolution planning, and task resolution as required.Problem solving and critical thinking to improve systems and company performance.Collaborate and escalate operational issues to supervisor to maintain and improve system performance.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Customer Service

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required3+ years of database, network administration, or system administration experienceSystem administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plusWorking knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalentStrong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocolsExperience with scripting and automation toolsA proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plansStrong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsLOCATION AND TRAVEL:
