Your Role
In this role, you will lead a team and have general responsibility for coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of your assigned area. Your typical shift will be Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help drive excellent service for our valued customer.
Your Responsibilities
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
Supervise the scheduling of incoming orders to ensure efficient resources utilization
Direct the daily operations of the control tower personnel
Establish, manage, review and report OOR metrics in concert with internal groups (inventory, LTL Picking, etc.) and external customers
Review, plan, evaluate and orders for picking
Analyze information, forecasts, , schedules, systems, processes and procedures to determine most useful business solutions for the company.
Excellent written/oral communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills
Thorough understanding of warehouse operational procedures, including receiving, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management and cycle counting
Extensive knowledge of all WMS functions and how they relate to operational procedures
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Perform capacity planning by analyzing the demand and supply balance for the scheduled materials, determining out of balance conditions, identifying alternatives, and recommending actions for bringing the plan into balance
Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report
Engage cross functionally and interdepartmentally with supervisors on picking status and inventory and planning issues
Your Skills and Experiences
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of recent experience in a warehouse environment
2 or more years in a supervisory role
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
