Focus on the people, process, and technology requirements of a change, including identifying and addressing impacts of that change. Click here for more information on compensation for these roles.In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off , health and wellness benefits , and PERA Retirement .What You'll Do: Serve as the initial point of contact for intake requests and conduct business discovery.Document and translate business needs into features, stories, and tasks for cross-functional teams.Meet with stakeholders to understand and document current and future state business processes.Track down and clarify questions from development or project teams for the business.Modify and update requirements as needed based on feedback and project developments.Research and resolve business or technical issues and support incidents such as bugs, defects, or content updates.Provide technical support, including running reports and posting alerts on applications or websites.Support recurring efforts like school year rollouts, SIS upgrades, and Liferay updates.Participate in agile-based solution implementations as part of cross-functional teams.Act as an analyst for additional projects and collaborate with various technology teams.What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Two (2) or more years of experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or IT support role.Basic knowledge of web applications, SaaS platforms, and understanding of IT systems.Proficiency in tools for documentation and process modeling (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for creating user stories and tracking tasks).Willingness to learn and grow in the role.Baseline understanding of software applications as a collection of features and functionality.Strong verbal and written communication.Skill in customer/end-user support, including interacting with individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge and expertise.Experience with agile methodologies and agile-based project environments.Skill in analytical thinking to assess IT processes and propose technical improvements.Knowledge of Gherkin requirements writing.Skill in the use of Google Workspace productivity and collaboration tools.Proficiency with data analysis tools or platforms (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI) preferred.Denver Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender expression, and sexual orientation), parental status, national origin, age, disability, genetic information (including family medical history), political affiliation, military service, or any other status protected by law or regulations.
