Job Description

This critical role will champion the adoption of new ways of working by implementing Lean Management and enabling the departments to identify benefits of utilizing Digitalization and Automation tools throughout the office and warehouses at Bosch $1.5B+ North American Mobility Aftermarket business. As a critical part of our small diverse team this role will be deploying Lean Principles and practices while acting as an internal consultant who can provide advice to managers/experts and generate data that will provide transparency. This transparency can impact their department’s overall performance.

This role would be expected to review & improve processes, identify waste, recommend corrective actions, with the ability to introduce and implement a variety of digitalization tools and technologies, to serve as an evangelist, and creative implementer throughout our business as well as guide the organization on their implementation of the annual strategy deployment process.

Responsibilities:

Successful completion of analysis, design and implementation project phases.

Applying Lean method in dimensions: customer, processes, organization and skills, performance management, and mindset and behaviors.

Initiating a cultural change by employing methods of change management.

Consulting in the transformation of processes.

Reporting progress of project within Lean management team as well as line organization.

Achieving team targets and goals.

Building capabilities of Lean and Digitalization in teams within area of responsibility.

Quickly develop expertise in 2 to 3 Automation Tools (e.g. Alteryx, KNIME, Automation Anywhere, Catalytic, Celonis, MS Power Platform (e.g. Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBI) and/or Technologies (e.g. Python, AI/Neural Nets, etc.)

Develop knowledge of business processes and use this expertise to manage and facilitate continuous improvement projects and to develop a plan for future automation applications as well as to deliver solutions to automate existing pain points.

Willing to travel to other Bosch locations while implementing Lean and/or Digitalization activities (approximately 2 to 3 business weeks per quarter).

Workshops Design, develop and facilitate engaging and interactive continuous improvement, process mapping and problem-solving workshops tailored to various audiences utilizing diverse instructional techniques, coordinating logistics, assessing effectiveness, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Mentor and assist junior team members in lean management principles and practices, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Own and Maintain Annual Policy Deployment Process (GPS) and recommend and implement improvements to process.

Qualifications

BS, BA degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

Lean Expert Certified (or equivalent) highly preferred.

3+ years of knowledge and experience of Continuous Improvement and Lean methodology tools with proven examples of implementation.

Strong desire to solve problems, lead teams with a hands-on working style.

Demonstrated success in facilitating large group discussions.

Lean subject matter expert on tools and concepts application (e.g. directing Kaizens, mapping value streams, etc...)

Knowledge and experience in systematic problem solving and analytical techniques (i.e. PDCA, Six Sigma, 5Y, etc.)

Strong analytical skills, the ability and desire to self-learn new software or IT tools.

Multi-tasking and highly organized. Ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment.

Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to management.

Proactive, energetic attitude with willingness to take on new tasks

Strong Change Management and Project and Program Management skills

Experience and Expertise in Policy Deployment Hoshin Kanri and/or OKRs

Comfort with interacting and leading senior management
