Document Specialist
to join our team.
The
Senior Document Specialist
verifies that the chain of title for mortgage loans serviced by the company is complete and/or timely provides requested collateral/copies to internal or external requestors.
What you will do for Fay:
Research and solve the chain of title to identify any deficiencies in the assignment chainCreate and nurture relationships with attorney firms, vendors and/or investors to ensure timely completion of assignment exceptionsProvide detailed notes and status updates in systems of record to maintain a fluid record of eventsUpload and index documents in digital imaging systems and client sitesEnsure time frames and deadlines are met by monitoring Foreclosure and Bankruptcy milestonesAssist in training for both new team members and assist in conducting ongoing training as neededProvide training topics/feedback from file observation/reviewProvide information to make recommendations and coordinate the implementation of recommended procedures to ensure strong operational controls are in place and efficiencies are maximizedOther duties as assigned by managementWhat you will bring to Fay:
High school diploma/GED required; College degree preferred3-5 years experience in processing Assignments or completing title curative actionsFamiliarity with Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Short Sales, and Deed in Lieu processes3-5 years experience in handling collateral and/or collateral requestUnderstand and offer solutions to resolve both complex and difficult situationsExpert in MS Excel functions
