Are you a Sr Software Systems Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics but have a computer mind?
We are seeking a Sr. Software System Engineer to join a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the development, manufacture and deployment of high reliability transoceanic undersea communication systems. You will be an integral member of the development team supporting Manufacturing in a dynamic organization; building and supporting applications that drive Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
Responsibilities and Duties:The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional experts through all phases of a project.Ability to work with process engineers and other functional experts to translate business requirements into applications to automate or streamline existing processes.Produce robust, reusable and scalable software.Create supporting documentation.Provide training to end usersWorks with little supervision on required tasks.Travel up to 10% domesticBS in Electrical Engineering or Physics plus 5+ years of experience developing desktop applications in C++ and C Sharp Experience working with a SQL Server database as the back end for developed applications.
Experience communicating with hardware to collect and analyze data associated with manufacturing processes a plus..5+ years of experience working with the .NET Framework..Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in visual presentation at all levels within the organization. You will be part of the Customer Solutions team and presenting to clientsSkill in data collection and analysis.Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-function manufacturing environment.Proficiency and demonstrated ability to make independent, informed, and impactful decision.
