About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Boerne, TX. This position will develop, coordinate, and implement ammunition allocation management, quality assurance, testing and maintenance of military weapons, storage of ammunition, and air delivery operations of personnel and equipment. Responsibilities Review budget data to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement. Establish departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in accordance with federal regulations. Manage the movement of munitions into and out of facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations. Plan and assign work based on priorities, requirements of assignments and capabilities of Employees. Coordinate activities with commercial manufacturers including many foreign companies and advises on the development and production of new small arms and ammunition for special programs. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Interpret federal ammunition directives and regulations to implement guidance; Determine manpower and budget requirements to execute mission; Monitor internal controls to ensure resources are managed efficiently and effectively; and Lead, direct, or assign work of personnel to meet organizational needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
