About the Position: Serves as a senior management and program analyst responsible for planning, directing, implementing, and overall administration of a myriad of management, analysis and advisory functions in support of the AMCOM Logistics Center (ALC), Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM)programs and missions. Responsibilities Serve as an expert planner, analyst, and advisor to management on organization manpower and human resource program areas. Serve as a staff specialist responsible for planning, development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures for manpower and human resource management initiatives. Conduct complicated management studies, surveys, reviews, and research projects providing advisory services on issues of such intensity and breadth that they often require input and assistance from other analysts and subject matter experts. Serve as liaison with external organizations for various personnel type actions. Monitor and provide status updates on organizations personnel type actions. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes Use analytical and statistical methods and techniques to plan and direct studies in areas of manpower management, organization and mission, and staffing standards; use applicable directives, regulations, procedures, and policies governing manpower management, organization and mission, and staffing standards to accomplish assigned functions; and use oral and written communications to advise managers, resolve problems, conduct meetings and briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational Performance Analysis Problem Solving Program Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
