We are looking for a Project Manager Staff to join our Global Engineering team supporting our Agricultural Solutions division in the US.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team of Project Managers supporting our Agricultural Solutions division, leading and executing capital investment projects across North America.
As the Project Manager, you will lead a project team consisting of both BASF and contractor personnel. Your senior role will involve translating project objectives into targetsfor each team member, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards a common goal. You will also be responsible for providing regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns, and recommending corrective actions to project stakeholders, including executives. This position will require extensive travel, at peak periods with up to 50% of your time dedicated to supporting project execution on-site. As such, you should be prepared for a regular travel schedule.

Being responsible for leading and guiding a diverse team in the planning and execution of strategically important projects throughout the region. Additionally, you will promote a culture of safety that permeates all phases of the project lifecycle.
Effectively communicating project status, risks, and opportunities to executives and other key stakeholders.
Ensuring the completeness of basic engineering. You will also look for opportunities to optimize the scope and add value through disciplined Value Based Engineering and Risk Management practices.
Developing execution and contracting strategies to effectively meet project objectives. This includes negotiating terms and conditions related to overall engineering activities.
Supporting project team members in their development of technical and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all BASF policies, procedures, and technical standards.
Contributing to global and regional teams dedicated to improving internal project management processes. This includes sharing insights and best practices to enhance project management practices within the organization.

Have a degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, will provide you with a solid foundation for this position.
Demonstrated experience (10+ years) in successfully executing capital projects, managing contracts as a project owner will showcase yourability to handle projects and financial responsibilities as well as experience in cost control and scheduling.
Project management expertise: Extensive professional experience in Project Management, including proficiency in constructionand field activities, will allow you to mentor project team members and junior Project Managers effectively.
Have a strong ability to understand and manage customer expectations, as well as influence project stakeholders, will contributeto the overall success of your projects.
Market understanding: Knowledge of labor and material market influences will enable you to make informed decisions andeffectively manage project resources.
Leadership qualities: Superlative leadership abilities, coupled with a collaborative mindset, will empower you to identify the rootcauses of conflicts and minimize their impact on your project team.
